There is nothing more exciting then deciding to move in with someone. Maybe it is your first time ever or you are starting over. It is a whole NEW experience, new location, new sounds, new furniture arrangement, and maybe even new furniture 🤔 But there is also new decor to make your home yours! Decor is everything to creating the right VIBE for your new home.

This is the time to book a photography session and have professional images done to show case you, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, and maybe even the dog!  You know, have that grown up appeal that makes you feel like this is official and this is really happening!


Natalie reached out to me for this exact reason and couldn't be happier with her results.

They just moved from Northern Virginia to our little coastal peninsula. She grew up visiting

her grandmother over the summer here and decided to move here officially with Griffin.

Some where in between they adopted Reggie, a 1 year old big goof ball and their beloved cat.

Moving Checklist ✨

New Home

•Research your neighborhood before you actual decide to move

•Measure doorways and furniture for fit at the new place

•Measure windows for blinds and curtains (the nice thick ones work wonders with children and animals!)

•Schedule utility and internet transfer/installation for new home

If you are hiring movers

•Set a moving budget

•Compare moving companies

•Schedule your moving day/day off from work etc

Purge & pack

•Declutter (donate, sell or trash)

•Boxes, Boxes, Boxes, tape, labels (or a good ol' sharpie) tip boxes you can sometimes get

from stores, or look on your local trash and treasure. Sometimes people recently moved and don't want to trash them all.

•Start Packing non-essentials (room to room) makes it easier to unpack

Essentials are daily items you absolutely need. Don't pack your toothbrush, paste and underwear quite yet.

Your New Address

•Submit change of address with USPS (United States Postal Service)

•update contact information for work/school

•Notify DMV, Voter registration

•IRS (internal revenue service)
