The perfect Venue

Found the most breath taking Venue and you are ready to sign any line to make sure you get it. Pump the breaks for a minute to ensure you are getting exactly what you want and it will work for you. If not you may be rushing into something without all the details and it prove to be more of a headache then a blessing.

Does the venue accommodate your wedding guest count? Does it fit your theme and is it scenic for Wedding day images?

Wedding Venue Questions


  • Is my Wedding Day choice available, if not which dates are available?




  • Will any other events be scheduled the same day?




  • How much is the deposit? When is due?




  • Are there any fees that are not included in the cost?




  • When do we need the final head count? When is the last date for any changes?




  • What is your cancelation policy?




  • If it is outside... What are your weather policies? Is there a backup location if it rains?




  • Do we need to use your vendors?




  • Do you offer a day of coordinator? If so, is there an additional cost?




  • Can we make a payment plan?




  • What time can vendors arrive to setup?




  • Is this venue handicap accessible?




  • Will there be ample parking?




  • What are you decoration rules?




  • Are there any photographer limitations?




  • Who is responsible for setting up and taking down decor?When does it need to be completed?




  • Do you offer adequate accommodations for restrooms?




  • What is your price for bartenders/alcohol? Are there corkage fees, or can we supply our own alcohol?




  • Do we need to find out own bartenders, or do you have bartenders on retainer?




  • May we have a copy of the contract?



  • Will the space accommodate my guest list size? Capacity?




  • Does the venue have air conditioning?




  • What time do guest have to leave?






  • Is wedding insurance required?




  • Does music have to be cut off at a certain time?




  • Can we have all of our events onsite (Ceremony, Cocktail hour, reception)?




  • Is there an area for dancing and DJ/Band setup?




  • Who will be my main contact for communication?




  • Do you offer discounts for off-season or days other than Saturday?




  • If you have preferred vendors, do you have a list?





  • Is there a Bridal suite/ Groom suite? an area to get ready?




  • How do you charge? Per head, by the hour?  flat fee?





  • Do you offer different packages? If so, what are they?




  • Do you have a sample floor plan?




  • Are there and restrictions on sound, decor, or dress code?




  • Are there any limitations on exits? Are fire works or sparklers allowed? Are bird seeds, bubbles allowed? If not what is allowed?




  • Are there any areas alcohol is not allowed?





  • Can we take a decor around the time of day it will be head? Are we allowed to take photos? (these are great for your potential photographer)
